Chris won the Queen's Award for Enterprise, 2012. He has taught in 3 schools. In the first, he was head of Drama and English, in the second he was head of Drama and head of Year, and in the third, head of the Arts Faculty and Director of Specialism.
Chris has written many publications, including 'Stress in Teaching'. His book 'Drama Handbook' and his 'Drama Complete Scheme of Work' are used in over 1,000 secondary and primary schools in the country. He also devised the 'Total Marking System' a system of recording marks and levels in all National Curriculum subjects. Chris' latest work is entitled 'Manage Your Emotions'www.myenow.com/ devised with Christina Hunt. This provides unique online emotional support for children and adults. with a special programme dedicated to teachers.
Chris is trained as a Life Coach, a Psychotherapist and NLP Practitioner. He also has a specialism in Eating Disorders. He has counselled individuals, and has trained large groups of staff in teaching and corporate situations in areas such as 'adapting to change' and ' NLP'.
He led the Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset Enterprise Learning Partnership. As part of this work he liaised directly with local businesses, is a successful after-dinner speaker for Dorset Business (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry). He met with the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills as part of his initiative to launch 'Employability Skills' across the South, then Nationally, and across Europe. This project is backed by the Chamber, FSB, the Dept. BIS, and companies such as LV=.
